Over the past few years, we’ve been honored to partner with the Osage Nation and Osage Nation Language Department on creating the Osage Books collection, preserving language and culture through storytelling in an innovative format.
With Osage guidance, METECS led the direction and creation of three books: “Coyote and the Bear”, “Devouring Mountain”, and “Corn and Squash”, along with developing the Osage Books mobile app, where readers can read in Osage and English, watch story videos, and use Augmented Reality to bring each page to life
Working closely with the Osage Language Department and Osage artists, we ensured these stories honor their deep traditions. METECS played a key role in making it happen, and last week’s book release event was met with incredible excitement from
the community.
Seeing these books come to life through print, videos, a mobile app, and AR has been an unforgettable experience. We are incredibly grateful for our continued partnership with the Osage Nation and their trust in the METECS team to develop advanced technologies and language learning tools.
The Osage Books app is a growing digital library for all Osage books, with more to come in the future. Download now on the Google Play Store
and iOS App Store!
