EDGE Services

EDGE used for visualization of a spacecraft simulation.

EDGE is our premier 3D graphics package. It is the publicly available version of NASA's Dynamic Onboard Ubiquitous Graphics (DOUG) software which is used onboard the International Space Station and extensively in training and analysis simulations at Johnson Space Center (JSC). METECS has helped many customers integrate EDGE software with their simulations, data sets, facilities, and hardware. Our expertise with EDGE allows us to quickly perform this integration, as well as provide needed customizations such as:

  • EDGE plugins and scripts
  • Movie creation
  • Realtime HUD's, data displays, and overlays
  • 3D Modeling in multiple formats

GMAT Graphical Enhancements

METECS is currently enhancing the graphical rendering capabilities of the General Mission Analysis Tool (GMAT). GMAT is

  • a space trajectory optimization tool
  • a mission analysis system
  • an open-source project
  • developed and maintained by NASA

Our contributions to this project will allow GMAT users to interact with and manipulate orbital properties directly in the rendered scene, making the trajectory design process more intuitive and efficient.
